Masala Your Life

I love gift-giving. You read that right, I am one of those people who likes to find the perfect gift for someone and often sends a gift just because.  We have all been in a situation where we needed a gift that would be nice, thoughtful, and affordable?

When I discovered Masala My Life, my heart smiled.  It’s the perfect gift box for a hostess, get well soon or those fun women in your life.  There are so many ways to share the magic that comes in these boxes that they truly are the perfect gift.

Masala My Life

To me, the perfect gift is around $40-$50. These gift boxes are not imposing on someone’s style or aesthetic and are thoughtful and fun.  For example, I can see myself gifting the LUXE Mango Gift Set to my Mother in Law or an Aunt. I could also share it with someone whose house I may be going to for the first time.  It has a cute kitchen towel, candle, a bar of soap, and a cute pair of earrings.  It just feels unique and thoughtful and that is what I love about it.

~Anu Mannar, Founder of Masala My Life

Founder Anu Mannar didn’t stop at putting together cute boxes, she thoughtfully put together each piece of these curated boxes that make you feel good about the purchase.  She uses recycled saris in her jewelry, creates everything in the USA, has environmentally friendly packaging, works with local artisans to create unique pieces, AND donates a portion of her proceeds to the South Asian American Digital Archive.  It is the whole concept of things coming together to help the community at large which makes is box truly special.

As a South Asian female entrepreneur, I commend Masala My Life for representing the best of our community.

Next time you need a thoughtful gift that will make someone feel great while supporting local artisans, and giving back to the community, consider shopping from Masala My Life!

Now What? Let Serene Help You Achieve Your Fullest Potential

I am one of those people who believes I am capable of many things, but I can be a little ‘all over the place.’  Lately, I have been asking myself what is next for me- professionally, spiritually, and emotionally. In trying to sort through all my feelings and the confusion around my goals, I got an email from my friend Serene Hebert.  Just in time to catch me before I fell, she reminded me that self-doubt and goal setting do not go hand in hand.  She said, “If you are watching others achieve their goals and wondering when it will be your turn, it’s time to take the wheel.” I knew right away that I needed more of Serene in my life!

Meet Serene – Your New Best Friend

I am one of those believers in affirmations; I have the Gratitude App to inspire and guide me daily.  I also turn to places like YouTube for tutorials and ideas.  These are all great, but they are things that I pop in and out of, and my confusion continues to cycle every few months.

Serene gave me some tools to get started on my journey of figuring out what is next.  Some were easier than others:

  1. Surround Yourself With Go-Getters (it will rub off)
  2. Focus every day on your goals, work a little bit every day to build the confidence to take the steps head-on.
  3. Practice Gratitude.
  4. Make a decision, just do it!  One way or another and move on.
  5. Prepare to work harder than you have ever worked before because nothing comes easily or quickly.

Serene is a High Performance and Motivational Coach with tools to help you and literally HOLD YOUR HAND through the entire process.  She won’t let you lose sight of where you want to be.  Sometimes we need that kind of accountability.  Similar to my personal trainer, Serene is there to ask the tough questions like, “What have you done lately to achieve your goals?”

In addition to the free tips she offers in her Facebook group, you can join her “Banish Limiting Beliefs™ workshop now for $27!

The workshop includes:

✅ 5 digestible, impactful core video trainings to banish limiting beliefs
✅ 2 self-assessments to benchmark and measure your progress

Sonia’s At-Home Workout Essentials During #Quarantine

During this time of quarantine, a lot of people have put their fitness and health as a top priority. I’ve been using my at-home gym and have realized there are some staple products that I absolutely can’t do without. Aside from usual pieces of machinery like elliptical machines, treadmills, and stationary bikes, there are additional items that make for a good start to in-home workouts. Here are my few of my top picks.

Yoga mat: HeathYoga

In my opinion, not all yoga mats are created equal. The price points can be anywhere from $20 to $200. I’ve owned my HeathYoga mat for years and it has served me well. With a price point of $36, you can’t go wrong! Yoga mats allow you to do so much more with it than just yoga. You can do any core, leg, arm work or stretch on this.

Yoga Mat

Dumbell set: Balance Form

Depending on how advanced you are in your exercises there is an array of weights you can get on organized racks. Many of them can be delivered right to your front door, here is the rack that I currently own.  I’ve since added a few heavier weights that can be purchased individually as you build up your muscle strength. (Unfortunately these are sold out, I will keep an eye out for a restock when it happens.)

Work Out Clothes

Fabletics not only has cute styles but excellent support at affordable prices- two leggings for $24, such a great deal! I am all about high-waisted pants. Fabletics has some very cute high-waisted styles that give you the tuck you need and the slim you crave.

Hypervolt: Massage Device

I am obsessed with my hypervolt. This post-workout tool acts as a deep tissue massage and helps alleviate muscle pain and stiffness through quick and rapid vibrations.  Unfortunately, this does come at a hefty price tag ($350), so I have a more affordable massage alternative for you, keep reading.

Foam Roller: TriggerPoint

This is another affordable way to roll out muscles and ease stiffness in the body. I keep this one in my bedroom and use it twice a week to roll out my back and legs.

CBD : CYTO CBD

There is a multitude of ways to engage in recovery post-workout. CBD is a natural way to alleviate sleep issues, anxiety, and pain. I have been using CYTOCBD for months and have found many benefits in pain recovery. As one of the only CBD companies to offer a product with ZERO THC, I recommend using the 1500mg Full Spectrum tincture sublingually at the same time every day for one week to see how it works for you.
