This box came in this beautiful faux leather bag in my current favorite color BLUSH!  With Digital Chicks keeping me busy and a laptop and camera always in my bag, this one came just in time to help me get around in style.

Ettika Tassel Necklace – See Her Whole Collection Here

This is one of the BEST necklaces I have gotten of late.  Layered necklaces are all the rage and when you rock multiples you risk getting tangled up! I’ve been having a Tarte moment lately as you can see here.  This liquid liner is not just cute, but it is also great! I tried out the tip on my hand and the lines were still on there the next morning! That is the kind of stay power I want out of  my eyeliner. Eddie Borgo Soho Watch in Rose Gold

If you are like me I rarely buy a statement watch, but if I get my hands on one I am more than happy to rock it! This watch goes with my current blush aesthetic and gives my #OOTD that extra touch. I love it!

Pretty In Pink – Who Me?

Honestly, pink was never my color – but it was always Sonia’s.  However, lately a blush hue seems to have taken over my wardrobe.  Maybe it’s the subtle –ness of the color or the muted tone of it that makes me like it, but nowadays it turns out – I am a pink kind of girl.

First there was this sweater, and then this one.  Now it is this beautiful fitted wrap coat from Chic Wish (now 40% off).  This company has been making its rounds on social media for several years with its beautiful boho chic styles and delicate fabrics.  When I saw this coat, I was reminded of those high fashion sketches in our doodle books when I was little where all the styles were perfectly fit to flare.  This coat was designed solely with that silhouette in mind.   Apart from looking amazing, it is well made (with a beautiful satin lining), fits well, and is SUPER warm.

Sex And The City in Hindsight

Season 1 of Sex And The City was released in 1998 – let that soak in! That was 20 years ago folks! That means I was 16 when it first came out. As a girl of immigrant parents, I can assure you that I had no idea Sex And The City was “a thing” since we didn’t have cable…either way, my parents weren’t going to let me watch it so it didn’t really matter. The freedom of college gave me my first access to cable AND this show.  It was also my first glimpse into a reality that I would only realize much later on in life.

Here we are 20 years later, and still reflecting and referencing episodes from this iconic show. How did I miss that 20 years ago these ladies were doing it right all along? The age old journey of women continues to look similar to that of these women.  Balancing love, career, fashion, and girl time are all things that we strive for every day!  

Over the years I have heard women often identify with one of the characters over the others. In my case, I feel as though in my life and in my social circle I am most like Charlotte. Like her, I always dreamed of the ‘white picket fence’ with a husband and kids. My desire to be defined by my family has always motivated my actions. Also, like Charlotte, I love to wear pretty dresses like this one and this one.

Truth be told, I do believe that for those people who watched the show it helped mold the coming together of girls nights out and women supporting women. It’s no secret that historically women have been suppressed, the show openly talked about things that women were dealing with that weren’t necessarily openly discussed (i.e. marital, financial, social, and health issues). 

I’m amazed at how I still take fashion tips 20 years later from these ladies. I’m also amazed at how their situations in the show still normalize my situations in real life. Making time for myself without my husband and kids has also become ‘a thing’ (which was not true for the generation before us). Hats off to the writers of Sex And The City and the actresses that made this iconic show a legacy for so many women who followed along and continue to reference it all these years later!

I am a Spiritual Gangster, Are You?

I have always loved the ring of this – Spiritual Gangster.  It speaks to the philosophical and edgy side of me all at the same time, and I love it.  So when I found a company that speaks to the vibe, I had to check it out and not surprisingly, I loved ALL OF IT!

With fitness and clean eating top of mind at the beginning of the New Year, I thought an overhaul of my workout clothes was in order too.  Fitness with a message – I could not resist.
